I found Somewhere Else Tomorrow an oddball travel documentary completely worth the time. Better in some ways than Long Way Round.
A truly wonderful composition of a magnificent journey. It's pace was perfect and the narration was excellent, even though it took me quite a while to figure out who the female's voice was Daniel is a remarkable guy, someone who is really getting out there.
The trip is magnificent, but the scales are a bit mind numbing. I can't fathom it. But I do envy it.

Daniel didn't just take a trip, he lived a journey. He delved deep into the world around him, took his time, and didn't just "pass through".
Daniel didn't have a support crew, or a big budget, or anything really, just a dream and the strength to make it happen. The mental and physical fortitude it took to do that is huge.
The filming and narration were great and I thought it was very well put together. Nothing about this movie was bad in my opinion, and I hope we see the rest of the journey one day.
It would be great to see the second half of a life long dream, and done with a new twist in his partner! One person found this helpful.
Very well made but there were parts that confused me, like the woman speaking. I guess that is the motorcycle speaking but shouldn't the bike have a German accent?
I'm also not sure who the interviewer is; First person might have been a better style. Otherwise the story is engaging, the photography very well done.
For a self filmed and produced film about an adventure motorcycle trip this is the best. Daniel Rintz does an excellent job of capturing the highs and lows of his trip in a way that really captures and shares the feelings.

Hats off to Daniel for an outstanding film. While the title suggests Daniel and his travel companions will be "Somewhere Else Tomorrow", it seemed they were pausing their journey frequently to work in a few places to earn cash less interesting so they could continue with their travels interesting!
This is a fun film to watch for anyone considering a long distance or multi-country tour: participants must learn to pack minimally, route the trip to friendly borders, prepare personal and vehicle documents for border crossings, embrace the unexpected, and exercise discretion when lending out your only motorcycle.
The film concludes with the possibility of more travels to come at some future date. I hope there is a next film, and if there is, then I'll likely watch that one too.
It's not the destination, it's the journey, Daniel traveled through so many "forbidden" places politics, religion, environment , and being forced to live there for a while, got a much better understanding of the people there.
Old primitive bike, no money, no support crew, and much of the time no riding partner. Perseverance, ingenuity, and the willingness to adapt, that's what got him through.
See all reviews. Top reviews from other countries. I really enjoyed this documentary. The trip was so lengthy though, it must have been difficult to compress it into one DVD.
There is a fair amount of German spoken, especially those clips from pre-trip and from the very beginning of the trip, however, you always know what is going on even if you don't know any German.
Daniel also captures parts of the world we don't get to see in western society. What an adventure! I am sure that I will watch it again.

The highlights of Daniel's journey are exhilarating, but it is the challenges that come to redefine him. Unlike most, he had the courage - or the craziness - to do something about it.
