Seizaki pays a visit to one of the witnesses in the investigation, but stumbles across an unbelievable situation. Watch with Prime.
Seizaki struggles to accept the sudden death of a friend and concludes that he must have been killed in retaliation by a politician running in the mayoral election.
With help from Kujiin and Hanta, Seizaki interrogates a woman he identified as an important witness in the investigation. Nomaru, the secretary general of the Liberal Justice Party, reveals the real purpose of the Shiniki initiative.
Seizaki decides to focus his investigation on the women who were providing escort services. The world had been plunged into a state of confusion after Itsuki makes his declaration.
Seizaki urgently searches for Itsuki, but is confronted by the fact that Itsuki has not done anything illegal.
To uncover the truth behind Magase, the mysterious woman, Seizaki and Sekuro visit her uncle in Kyoto. Her uncle tells them about a mysterious incident that happened when Magase was in middle school, and also tells them about an unbelievable experience he had while he was her counselor.
With only three days left until the congressional election, Itsuki is scheduled to participate in a public debate. While listening to Kujiin, Seizaki comes up with an idea.
The Most Evil. The public was overcome with shock after discovering the identity of the boy who appeared in the public debate. However, something unusual had begun to happen under the surface.
After the parliamentary election, Shiniki was preparing to enact the suicide law. After his kidnap attempt on Itsuki, Seizaki is put under house arrest and spends his days overcome with a sense of powerlessness.
One day, Seizaki is paid a visit by an important individual. The city of Hartford becomes the first city in the U.
The White House holds an emergency meeting over the issue, and Alex calls Flores, the mayor. The suicide law had slowly begun to spread throughout the world ever since it was first announced in Shiniki.
Seizaki and Hardy listen to the recording of the telephone call with Flores in a hospice. Meanwhile, Seizaki receives a report saying that Germany and Italy have also adopted the suicide law.
In the midst of the confusion, something unbelievable happens right in front of their eyes. The Curtain Rises. The beginning of the G7 summit has arrived.
The leaders of the seven countries, which now contain cities that have adopted the suicide law, gather together and share their stances on the suicide law.
While the leaders debate the issue from the perspective of morality, economics, and rights, Alex poses a single question that cuts to the heart of the debate.
The End. At the suicide summit, Itsuki asks Alex to talk to a girl contemplating suicide. Alex, lost deep in thought in search of the truth behind good and evil, agrees to talk to the girl.
On the other hand, Seizaki regards Itsuki's invitation with suspicion and holds tightly on to his gun. Meanwhile, Magase closes in quietly and surely on the two men as the world watches on.

If you enjoy ruminating over presented information this is definitely up your alley. It doesn't neatly fit into any specific genre.
It has aspects of a mystery or thriller, but also waxes into philosophical, moral, and religious territory. The first half is almost always fast paced, while episodes are heavy into laying the foundation for the finale and can seem slow moving at times.
I still stand by my original posting that the main focus is on an individual and their grappling with questions of morality.
That whatever choices we make as an individual affects society as a whole. If you keep that focus, it is a much more satisfying story. I enjoyed the entire show even though I would have preferred a faster pace in the second half.
The ending will either repulse or entice viewers with how everything plays out. I personally felt it fit the narrative perfectly.

However, the anime is still continuing with simulcast episodes beginning again the end of December I noticed while reading reviews there seem to be two completely different camps when it comes to viewing this Anime, either you absolutely love it or loathe it.
A central theme I have witnessed is a complaint regarding lack of dimension in characters. While I agree this appears to be more of a plot driven anime, I feel that some inferred fleshing out of characters may have been missed.
A reviewer had stated that they wished Seizaki's family was more prominent in the anime to better help understand his character. I actually believe that the family's presence was for the most part intentionally omitted because it speaks volumes to his character.
This is a man with a strong sense of duty and justice albeit his own version who has sacrificed his family life to pursue his goals of exacting that brand of justice.
His coffee cup even has the words "Keep Calm and Serve Justice" written on it. He is supposed to be a one dimensional character. He is a straight laced, boy scout of a prosecutor who has probably never known adversity and coasted through life up to this point.
