Aaron schrikt wanneer hij een wolvenmasker vindt in de kast. Volgens Joseph gebruikte zijn vader dat om hem te vermaken toen hij klein was.
Later op de dag zegt hij dat het eigenlijk ergens anders voor was, maar dat hij zich hiervoor schaamt. Joseph vertelt Aaron dat hij er op een dag achterkwam dat zijn vrouw naar dierenporno kijkt en hij haar toen met het masker op heeft verkracht.
Aaron probeert subtiel aanstalten te maken om naar huis te gaan, maar kan zijn autosleutels niet meer vinden. Hij drogeert Joseph en gaat op zoek. Wanneer de telefoon gaat, neemt Aaron die op.
Het is Angela. Zij is alleen niet Josephs vrouw, maar zijn zus. Ze vertelt hem dat hij voor zijn eigen veiligheid beter meteen weg kan gaan.
Aaron gaat naar de voordeur, maar die wordt geblokkeerd door de gemaskerde Joseph. Hij slaagt er toch in om weg te komen. Na zijn thuiskomst ontvangt Aaron regelmatig dvd's van Joseph waarin hij impliciet wordt bedreigd.
Hij probeert aangifte te doen bij de politie, maar hij weet alleen Josephs voornaam. Het huis waarin hij hem ontmoette was gehuurd. Dan stuurt Joseph hem nog een dvd.

Alec B Super Reviewer. Mar 10, Essentially chilling and brilliantly performed by the two men, Creep is a fascinating character study of a man who at first appears gentle and kind, if a slight oddball who quickly descends into a nightmarish stalker antagonist.
Creep is a good example of how the early signs of strangeness can often be the most terrifying. Mark Duplass is ridiculously committed to his performance as Josef and the camera work is good, if not sometimes a bit too cheesy for me.
The tone of the film seems to meander sometimes and the long, edge-of-your-seat peers around corners seem like they'd be better left to Paranormal Activity and other supernatural found-footage sagas.
Creep 2 should rely more on behaviour and let the intensity of the film be found mostly in the script and subtleties that made this film so brilliant.
The fact that the film only has two men as its cast seems to heighten the claustrophobia. Be prepared for an experience that will stay with you for a while!

It also seems like there was no reason it had to be Found Footage in the first place. But that all said, Mark Duplass' performance is enough to elevate the piece somewhat, and kudos to director Patrick Brice for trying something new with the format.

You could feel tension building up throughout the film. Josef, however, attempts to stop Aaron from leaving and a scuffle ensues before Aaron gets away.
Back at his home, Aaron starts receiving items in the mail from Josef, including a recording of Josef digging a grave. The police are unable to take action due to Aaron knowing little about Josef, whom Aaron realizes is stalking him.
Aaron accepts Josef's offer, but places a camera on himself and sets his phone to speed dial the police as a precaution. As he waits on a park bench for Josef to arrive, Josef emerges from behind and kills him with an axe.
Reviewing the footage, Josef questions why Aaron did not turn around in the moments leading up to his death. He concludes that Aaron believed he was a good person who would not harm him and because of this, he declares Aaron to be his favorite victim.
Josef later receives a phone call from his newest target, now calling himself Bill, as he places a DVD of Aaron's murder alongside recordings of his past victims.
Duplass' real-life spouse Katie Aselton makes an uncredited appearance as the voice of Angela. Duplass said that the film's story "was inspired by character-driven dramas that are, at their heart, two-handers : My Dinner with Andre , Misery , and Fatal Attraction " as well as "[his] myriad of strange Craigslist experiences over the years.
Of the creative process for his character, Josef, Duplass explained: "We were interested in the psychological profile of this very, very strange person.
For us that was intense eye contact, lack of personal space, oversharing, maybe a little bit too much love here and there.
This concept of, 'who is the creep in this scenario? Creep received positive reviews from critics. The critical consensus states, "a smart, oddball take on found-footage horror, Creep is clever and well-acted enough to keep viewers on the edges of their seats".
The Hollywood Reporter and Indiewire both gave the film positive reviews, [16] and Indiewire noted that although the film had its flaws, they mostly worked in Creep's favor.
Shock Till You Drop panned the movie overall, stating that " Creep might work for those don't regularly digest horror films, but for the hardened fan, this is a film that spins its wheels all too often and feels like an exercise in self-indulgence.
Shortly after Creep's premiere at South by Southwest, Duplass announced that he intended to film a sequel and after the film distribution rights were purchased by RADiUS-TWC , [20] he further announced that he was planning on creating a trilogy.
In September , it was announced production had begun on the film, with Duplass returning, and Desiree Akhavan joining the cast, with Brice returning as the director.
Brice and Duplass announced plans to create a third film and in March , stated that they were struggling to come up with a concept as they wanted the third film to be "super inspired".

The shoot has Aaron driving to Josef's family cabin at a remote mountain town where instantly both we the audience and Aaron feel things aren't right.
Josef greets Aaron with a loud sneaky surprise hello, and then, foregoing a handshake, straight to a stranger hug. That last sentence pretty much captures the film experience as you go back and forth from shocking jump scares and very unsettling interactions between the vulnerable Aaron and the assertively goofy Josef.
Kudos to Mark Duplass for creating a character that is thoroughly terrifying but relatable enough and more importantly sympathetic enough to believably keep Aaron in a situation that just gets weirder and dangerously weirder.
Scenes that include a naked bathing Josef giving a mimed bath to his unborn son, which he calls "tubby time", will long stay in my memory banks under the title 'frightening'.
While Duplass and Brice heaped praises on horror guru Blum, saying they helped them achieve effectiveness in a genre they've never attempted, I still had my qualms.
The jump scares become all too repetitive hitting a mathematical equation that Duplass said Blum taught them. So when in an open room and the camera moves left so does the character's vision which results to something surprising them by jumping out to us on screen when all that character has to do is move their own head back and forth to keep informed on what's around them thanks for letting me rant.
The end which I won't get into has a few moments of 'you should have called the cops so much sooner', but that can't take away from intense ominous vibe that permeates.
I dug "Creep", it's a film that is greatly helped by a very good actor who taps into his inner creep and gets under your skin.
