Girls get beaten for playing with boys on the beach. Girls can't go watch futbol because men are there. Girls don't bleed on their wedding night so they are shamed and taken to the hospital to verify her hymen.
If this is an accurate reflection of culture in modern day turkey its horrible. Depressing garbage. Guess it at least made me feel a little better that I don't live in some backward ass place.

Frustrating when the eldest sisters accept their fate exciting when the youngest refuse and escape. A shame that the ranting of the radio preacher was not dubbed, the horror of it did not come across when read in subtitles.
These orphaned sisters fail to be fully controlled by their uncle and aunt. They want to mess with boys, play risky games, go to football matches, and sneak out at night to have sex in the bushes.
