Saya ingin tahu akhir dari trilogi grup acapella Barden Bellas gimana. Senyum karena mesmerized. It was so grand and beautiful.

Terlepas dari cerita filmnya sendiri yang memang ringan dan konfliknya nggak bikin tegang atau sedih luar biasa setidaknya bagi saya , ternyata film ini berhasil bikin senyum bertahan sampai keluar bioskop.

Namun, menurut saya justru disitu fun -nya. Bagi mereka yang butuh hiburan ringan, film ini cocok sekali. Di tengah hidup yang sedang stagnan dan bikin stres, lalu nonton film yang bikin senyum hampir dua jam dan keluar studio hati ringan, rasanya seperti sedikit minum air di tengah gurun; menyegarkan.

Saya lupa kapan terakhir kali keluar bioskop dengan hati yang ringan dan gembira dan The Greatest Showman berhasil memberikan sensasi itu. The Greatest Showman is the kind of feel-good movie you need for your stressful days.

Awalnya saya merasa musiknya nggak cocok dengan setting cerita karena terlalu pop. Namun, lama-lama justru saya menikmati dan saya nulis ini sambil blasting on my speaker listening to the songs all over again.

Ternyata, pemilihan lagu-lagu yang lebih pop daripada disesuaikan dengan setting film di tahun an bertujuan untuk merepresentasikan sosok P.

Barnum itu sendiri yang visioner. Begitu kata si penulis lagu yang saya kutip dari sini. Meskipun lagunya bagus dan enak didengar, tapi menurut saya masih ada minusnya.

Lagu-lagunya terdengar terlalu mirip sepanjang film. Hal ini saya sampaikan ke teman saya ketika kami ngobrol betapa kami ingin langsung cari lagunya di Spotify.

Namun ternyata nggak cuma saya yang berpikiran seperti itu. Beberapa kritik juga menyebutkan tentang hal ini.

Tapi musiknya sih tetap keren menurut saya. Selain itu, karena saya lagi semangat-semangatnya belajar gitar , sepanjang film lagu-lagunya bikin saya berharap semoga chord -nya nggak susah-susah amat untuk dipelajari hahaha.

Saya suka nonton berbagai macam genre film. Saya tidak membatasi diri pada film-film tertentu. Kadang saya ingin nonton film yang misterius dan menegangkan atau film dengan berbagai twist yang bikin otak muter-muter.

Namun, seringkali kita ada di masa pengen nonton film yang ringan dan menyenangkan saja gitu. Nah, jika kondisi terakhir yang sedang dirasa, biasanya larinya ke film-film romantic comedy yang isinya cuma klise atau film-film holiday.

Film-film yang kita nggak butuh usaha keras buat nonton. The Greatest Showman masuk kategori itu. Saya tahu The Greatest Showman akan masuk ke daftar film yang akan saya tonton berulang kali ketika sudah keluar di aplikasi video on demand.
